I, PAPARAZZI

A few years back DC Comics released a graphic novel called I, Paparazzi under their Vertigo banner. Unlike most graphic novels there was no illustrations this one. The entire thing was made with photographs done up in Photoshop. For this reason alone, the book is worth picking up. The whole thing is an artistic masterpiece.
As for the story, that’s pretty good too.
I won’t spoil it for you, but throughout the story, nothing is as it seems.
It follows a guy named Jake “Monster” McGowran who, as the title indicates is a paparazzi. You are led to believe that the guy is a heroine addicted asshole, but as it turns out, he’s really just a divorced diabetic. He takes the pictures and uses the money for his hemopheilac kid’s medication. See, like I said: “Nothing is as it seems!”

It’s suggested for Mature Readers, which is why it’s under the Vertigo name.
Not a lot of people read it though, mostly because it sold for $29.95 American/$49.95 Canadian.

Luckily it was recently released in paperback format, and can be purchased much cheaper then before on Amazon.

So go buy it and read it while you can.
